Privacy Policy for Voya

This Privacy Policy describes how Voya ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Dor Gilhar and Keren Nachmias, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Voya mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: Name, email address, and/or phone number when you register via Google sign-in or phone verification
• Profile information: First and last name you choose to display
• User content: Saved spots, lists, notes, reviews, photos, chat messages, event details, and recommendations you create or share

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location data: Precise location when you grant location permission, used to show nearby places and distance calculations
• Device information: Device type and push notification token for delivering notifications
• Usage data: How you interact with App features (e.g., spots saved, shares sent) to improve the service

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• Google: Basic profile information when you sign in with Google, and place data (names, addresses, photos, ratings) from Google Places
• Authentication provider: Account identifiers managed through Auth0

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide location-based recommendations and activity discovery
• Enable sharing of spots, lists, and messages with people you choose
• Send push notifications about shares, events, and messages
• Power Voya AI features that help you search saved spots and get recommendations
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve App performance
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations

3. Voya AI

When you use Voya AI, we send your messages and relevant context (such as cities, search criteria, and information about your saved spots) to OpenAI to generate responses. We use this data only to provide AI features within the App. AI conversation history is stored on our servers and deleted when you delete your account.

4. How We Share Your Information

• With other users you choose: Content you share (spots, lists, messages, events) is visible to the recipients you select
• Service providers: We use trusted third parties to operate the App, including Auth0 (authentication), Google (sign-in and place data), Firebase (push notifications), Amazon Web Services (image storage), and OpenAI (AI assistant)
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your authentication profile and initiate removal of your personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where we must retain limited information for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and update: Edit your name in Profile settings
• Location: Disable location permission in your device settings (some features will be limited)
• Notifications: Disable push notifications in your device settings
• Delete account: Use Profile → Delete Account to permanently delete your account
• Contact us: Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing voyainfo25@gmail.com

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under GDPR. If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA.

7. Children's Privacy

Voya is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including Israel and the United States, where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means.
